Salary jobs is something that is highly sought after. Depending on the industry that the individual chooses to enter, they may very well be able to find a salary job that meets their expectations. The reason why salary jobs are sometimes sought out by an individual because they feel that with a salary job, they are going to undoubtedly, be able to obtain the income that they desire. To some, working in an industry where they are able to obtain a salary job serves as a heightened level of job security. They know that with a salary job, assuming that they accurately fulfill their position, they are going to be able to work around that particular income. With a salary job, your weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly pay will be the same every pay period, unless you reach a point where you are selected to receive a raise. Due to this level of consistency, salary jobs afford the opportunity for an employee to accurately budget their money, with less ease, for months to years on end.
On the other hand, there are some employees that do not like salary jobs. There are some employees that feel that by having a salary job, they are not able to be fully compensated for the work that they do. With a salary job, there are some employees that feel that they are forced to work early hours, and stay late nights, at times, in order to fulfill their job duties, and every hour of work is not always properly compensated for with a salary job. Then there are those that feel that their salary jobs has an equal balance of work, and down time, that make up for the additional hours that were worked. Since this has been one of the growing issues for some industries that offer salary jobs, there are some salary jobs that try to offer an incentive for the employees for the extra work hours that they have put into a project. There are some salary jobs that are willing to offer “comp” time for the additional hours worked, that were excessive of a 40 hour week. These salary jobs are compensating their employees with time off. For those that have a salary job with this arrangement seem to have mixed reviews. Some say that they appreciate that their salary job is willing to give them time off, then others say that, even though this is the case, their employers never give them the time to use it. Overall, whether it is decided to obtain a salary job or not, it is up to the individual to decide what they are content with, and what they are not.
